Kick-off meeting for the 2018 Block of the Month

Friday, Nov. 10 at 10am and Saturday, Nov. 11 at 9:30am.

Don't forget your show and tell.  And remember that show and tell is not just quilted items.  We encourage any and all crafty things.  If you have your 2017 quilt finished, of course bring that.  Even if you just have the blocks together, show your progress.  We will also be drawing for last year's show and tell door prizes.

For those who haven't chosen fabric for the 2018 quilt, there will be a chance to do that at both meetings.  Also, if you have thought about it a little and decided you'd like to have a few extra fat quarters, you can purchase them both days as well. If you know of anyone who would like to participate in block of the month, please share the dates and times.

If you have questions, contact Sandy Winter at 320-217-9879 or Mary Hintzman at 320-965-2767.

SERGER CLASS

 9:30 a.m.  to 3 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 29

 at Community Vac and Sew.

In the process of learning more about your serger, you will make a dish towel.  You'll do a rolled hem, some gathering and possibly some flatlock stitches.  Whether it's new to you or you haven't used it in a while, or you just need a refresher, you will learn things you can do with a serger.  Cost for the class is $25 and you must register and pay at Community  Vac and Sew prior to the class so I know how many to expect.  Please bring a bag lunch.  I will provide something for morning coffee.  I will have more information on the dish towel and what you need to bring for that in a later e-mail.
Besides your serger, you need to bring your manual and the accessories/tool box that came with your serger.

Also, please bring --

Serger cone thread - -   One each of Red, Blue, Green and Yellow
